Pat's King of Steaks
This was the line after we ate, so long!
I don't know what this building is but it is very
pretty.

Happy Valentine's Day.

So we took off for Philly at 7:00am, and arrived at 9:00am too early to go get some Cheese-steaks, so we headed for the historic sites. We went to Independence Hall, the Liberty Bell, Benjamin Franklin's Grave, Betty Ford's House, Edgar Allen Poe's House, and the Museum of Art (aka where Rocky ran up the stairs & the Rocky Statue). We finished all of this around 2:00pm and decided to head for the food! We went to the 2 best known cheese-steak restaurants in Philly, Pat's & Genos. These 2 restaurants are directly across the street from one another, so we decided to get one sandwich from each place. We went to Pat's King of Steaks first, and ordered 'one wit wiz' (this means one steak sandwich with onions and cheese wiz). This was delicious; warm cheesy goodness! Then we went accross the street to Genos ordered one wit provolone. This one was disappointing, too much break not enough meat, and the meat had no flavor. Needless to say we have found our favorite! By the way Pat's had a much larger line outside as well.
After our buffet of steak sandwiches, we took a walk through the Italian Market Place, it was more of an Italian/Mexican Market, but it was fun none the less. Then we found this adorable coffee shop, where I got a home made soda, raspberry & blackberry (I cannot tell you the last time I drank a soda), and Jer got a cappuccino. For the next few hours we just walked all over the place, until about 5:30 when we met up with one of Jer's old friends and his girlfriend; we went to a restaurant/bar that was converted from a church. It was very cute inside, very old. We had a ton of fun, then went on to our dinner, we went to a restaurant called Triumph, who had the most delicious french fries I think I've ever tried. After dinner it was back to the Bolt Bus for our ride home, this is where I saw the building with a giant heart (in spirit of Valentines Day). The both of us passed out before the bus even took off. This was a great trip!

Words of Advice:
If you're going to Philly don't waist your money on an 'unlimited ride day pass' for their SEPTA - mass transit - system

Blizzard #2

"Mr. Plow that's my name my name again is Mr. Plow." - Homer Simpson

I stayed home (most of the day) today, school was canceled, work closed early. I had planned on doing a bunch of homework, but that didn't happen either.

Most of the day I just sat and watched the snow fall.

Jean Shorts, and in the Winter

Love this outfit!
I have a new favorite blog denimblog.com, where I found this photo.
The woman in the photo is Bar Refaeli, I don't know what she does, but she does it in style.

New Book - Coming Soon

One of my good friends is writing a book.
Here is her Blog and a teaser for the book.

Favorite Hairdo

French braid tucked.

This is definitely one of my favorite hair-do's.
Well, this is probably one of the only hair-do's I know, perhaps that may be the reason, either way I like it!

Sarah Palin:

You are so pretty, why must you also be so crazy?
The new un-official leader of the Tea Party Movement.

If you don't know much about the Tea Party please familiarize yourself with them, they seem like they will be around for awhile, spreading their crazy-ness.
They are a very right-wing conservative group, yet they dislike Republicans & Democrats equally.
If we lived back in the 1700's, them maybe this movement would be a good thing, but in present day... not so much.

What kind of sane people walk around with posters of Obama as Hitler? Really...

The Tea Party & Mrs. Palin, a disgrace to the modern USA.

New Winter Coat

I have been looking for a warm coat to wear here durring the cold NYC winters, and I have been having a difficult time.
Yesterday I got a coupon from Macy's so I decided to hop online & see if they had anything.
I ended up finding a Kenneth Cole coat!
Its not the cutest, but it will be very warm & that was my goal.
It arrives in about a week, I am so excited!

Now just to find the perfect purse.

Play-Dough at Work!

So at work today the little kids in the daycare made some play-dough, and we were given a small bundle as a gift.

I decided to make a cute little bunnie, as you can see.
