Christmas 2009

Christmas Day 2009

I went to Rockefeller Center to see the giant Christmas Tree. When we got there, we saw Santa and he even waived for us.

Later in the evening I went to the movie theater to see Sherlock Holmes, which was very good!

1st NYC Snow

The day after the Blizzard.
I learned a lesson yesterday, do not go on trips to visit your friends until after Blizzard is complete.

Snow.

Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade

Woke up early, and went to the Thanksgiving Day Parade. The parade this year was on a different route for the first time in 50 years, at first I thought this was a bad idea, but I now think that this is a better route. On the old route you had to be on the sidewalk in order to view the parade, but the new route is on the street bordering Central Park, so people can sit in the park and watch (which is where I was due to the massive amounts of people on the streets).

Washington DC

4 hour double decker bus ride to DC.

Washington DC, had the cleanest subway system I have seen to date. The city overall was very clean, and very sterile.
We went to an aerospace museum & the holocaust museum which was definitely an experience. I would recommend it to anyone visiting DC.

Boston, MA

I am in love with Boston.
4 hour bus ride into Boston.
The architecture, the food, the culture, the history.
While in Boston I visited both MIT and Harvard, had dinner at Cheers, 'where everybody knows your name'.

Yale / New Haven Connecticut

We took a 2 hour train ride to Yale, in New Haven CT.
Yale, is amazing. By far the most beautiful school I have seen, or can imagine.
Secret Societies, Presidential Alumni, a Cemetery on campus. Yes, I did just say a cemetery on campus.
The town surrounding the school was just adorable.
Small local restaurants, boutique shopping, a lot of history.

The Highline

High-line Park is a new park in Chelsea, NYC.
The park is a converted Rail Road track elevated above street level.
Full of local plants and flowers, lots of architecture, art, viewing areas, and interactive spaces.
It is definitely one of a kind.

New York, New York

Living in New York City.
Picture from my walk on the Brooklyn Bridge.
Very dangerous, if you ever walk across the bridge, watch out for bike riders. They can be brutal.
