Additional Blogging
After my blog 'Aha Moment' I decided that rather than adding to this blog that I would create a new blog Architectu-Red.
I will continue to use this blog for me and my random thoughts.

Aha Moment.
After months and months of contemplation I have finally decided what I want to focus my blog on.
Architecture/Art/Architecture History/Urbanism/Historic ReDevelopment
I have been stressing myself out thinking about what I want to do with the rest of my life, what grad schools to apply to, when to apply, what to do with the year off, what to do period. After a few long discussions with classmates today I have come to the conclusion that I am completely and utterly infatuated with cities, but not in the ways you may think.
I admire the architect, his precision, his knowledge, his spirit and drive for perfection; I do not want to become an architect. For lack of sleep, self vanity, and the utter lack of conversational skills with all people outside the 'architecture world'.
I admire the city planner, her knowledge of social aspects, the accomplishment that is felt when a project is successful, and her politically driven designs, yet I do not want to become a planner as their is not enough creativity, not enough freedom, and being constrained by lack of work.
I admire the artist, their free spirit, creativity, and lack of care of the popular. However, I do not want to become an artist for the mere fact that I enjoy producing art on my own time and do not find it as enjoyable when producing for others.
I admire the architecture historian for his knowledge, his understanding of design, and his ability to teach others. I would very much like to become an architecture historian and/or historic preservationist. This profession/skill set allows for an individual to weave in and out between architecture, urbanism, planning, art, and history.
My goals are:
TTFN, Ta Ta for now.

F21 - Spring Wish List
Today was a long day.
It began like any other day, wake up, shower, prepare my breakfast and lunch, wake up boyfriend, head to work, etc.
On my way home however, I was rushing to beat the UPS man to my house so as I could receive my new Urban Outfitters package. To my dismay I missed the UPS man, and will have to anxiously await him tomorrow.
However, I felt that as a consolation prize I would go online 'window shopping' via Forever 21.
Here are some of my favorite things right now.
Dresses:
Belted Knit Dress
Abstract (while I love this, I dont think I would ever pull it off)
Abstract
Skirts:
Jackie B Skirt
Button Up Skirt
Stripey Skirt
Bow Front
Other:
Aztec
Tucson
Geology

Words of encouragement from Christine M.
Although we have met in person a few times, this wonderful young lady and myself have become very good friends via Facebook/the internet. She is the biggest sweetheart and is always encouraging others to smile and be happy just as she is. Words cannot express how happy I was to receive this little word of encouragement today, and how ecstatic it made me :).
Christine, I hope you keep it up. Keep bringing light into the lives of those you love, and brighten the day for others.

Sweet Addictions
Europe, you are my sweet addiction.
After the first taste,
one cannot live fully without another, and another, and another.
I am currently looking into teaching English abroad.
An amazing trip could be had.
If I am to take a year off and not resume school until 2012, oh the possibilities.

Sweet Country Love Songs.
No matter the mood.
No matter the time.
No matter the circumstance.
A country love song will always hit the spot.
They remind us of love, life, and the meaning of (Billy Currington).
Song of the Day: Let me go, by Jason Michael Carol
"Take me with you baby, I belong where you are.
We both know, I'm so good for you,
and it'll only break your heart down the road if you don't let me go.
With you baby."

Espaina
It has been almost one week since my return from Spain, and I miss it already.
This time last week I was enjoying a 'traditional Catalan lunch' with some amazing people we met during out trip. The meal consisted of grilled artichokes, large onions, salad, yummy tomato & garlic bread, sausage, pork-chops, potatoes, beans, more bread, and Catalan cream. Delicious!
During my short stay in Spain, I felt like my world was flipped upside down.
The culture, the environment, the people everything was amazing!
The Spanish people have a passion for living, that we lack. They don't rush around eating meals while driving as we American's do, they sit down for each meal, take their time, and enjoy every bite. They have leisurely days in which they just walk around or enjoy a conversation with friends, while we feel guilty if we spent the entire day without an accomplishment to show for it.
My goal for the year is to be more like the Spanish.
To take my time and enjoy each meal, to improve my wardrobe and not leave the house in 'i don't care outfits', and to enjoy the free time I have even if an accomplishment is not had.
My life will be forever changed.
